A page in the member's section sounds good.

Far more secure, too.

Perhaps an opt-out email would be preferable.

I'd like it by email...

Perhaps a poll should be posted on how it should be delivered?

I'd like a dynamic newsletter please. I want it driven by search criteria entered by me through a web interface using SOAP webservices to deliver it via XML back to a pretty formatted page. Oh. And I want it now! :D

Email is the go.

Can we please have a few XSD based themes to go with that? If webby can write a front-end GUI application to infinitely customise the themes, that would be even better. :D

I was going to take requests from every user as to their individual requirements, then carefully hand-write each newsletter using a quill, with custom text and print size for each user, including invidividualised hand-painted graphics, embossing and layout, then hand-deliver them all in a santa-like fashion, but the electronic idea has merits I guess ;)

Webmaster started it... :-)

Plus, I think at this stage - 60 people for it and only 2 against - it's a fairly accepted decision

Make that 61 - How about a really quick email enclosing a link to the full newsletter? That way people can choose for themselves.

I like that idea, but the postage from melbourne to brissey will add up.

I'm all for anything that will keep us informed of any changes. Either in the members section or on the message board sounds fine. :D

Hi all,

I agreee that a newsletter would be useful and informative, but not through a forum.
A forum is for different opinions and we all have different experiences and opinions.
A members section which is locked from members posting would keep us informed
and the other members sections of the forum could be used for discussion. Or an email
might be a better solution. Too many opinions just leads to confusion, in my opinion.

What's happened to the aanetters section? I was signed up for it, but it seems to have vanished.

An email with a link to the newsletter would be ok.

It served its purpose and was removed.
